Goals
Below are some of the goals I hope to achieve while on my internship.
Below are some of the goals I hope to achieve while on my internship.
- Learn all the students names in my classes within the first week. I think it is important to have a strong relationship with the students as it shows you actually care about them and are willing to help them grow through their studies in the classroom (based off professional standard number 1),
- Create and perform a presentation at the weekly staff development meeting. At the school I am placed at, they have a weekly 1 hour meeting on a Monday afternoon, where the deputy principal will lead the teachers through a number of staff development activities. Specific teachers are also invited to perform presentations on how they are incorporating specific teaching and learning techniques in their KLA's. Over my time there I aim to present one of my own (Based off professional standard number 6).
- Have a total of zero injuries in the workshop across the term. This one is easier said than done. However, through a range of safe working practices, injury can be heavily prevented and even stopped. The creation of supportive and safe working environments, can go a long way in reducing harm to students in the workshop. At the end of the day, the health and well being of students is the most important thing to maintain.
